Journey into the Poetry of colours III

with Inge H. Schmidt | Overview / Booking

Every day has its colours

We live in a mysterious universe. Colour as we see it today is the result of a long evolutionary process. Colours are part of this great mystery. Not only do they create stronger contrasts, through them we are able to live out senses and emotions and express ourselves. The longing for colours is deeply anchored in human consciousness. Not only is the entire "universe of Altissimo" inexhaustible in colours and nuances, but also every detail within it.

The journey into the poetry of colours is also a journey into the fascinating world of the techniques of the old Italian masters. Where better to do that than in Italy itself? For a long time I have been learning and trying them out in art studies. One of my aims in our course is to familiarise you with these techniques in a very simple and playful way and to let them flow into your painting. The effect is incredible! You just have to know how to do it.

And all this with a view of the Altissimo mountains, a marble quarry and one of the surrounding valleys. In the morning there is an introduction and in the evening a detailed correction of the work of each individual course participant. I will be happy to answer your questions during the day.

Creating imprints on paper, drawing on them or working out colour effects by glazing with gouache, acrylic or other modern painting materials constantly creates new inspirations. And all those who have so far got involved have made a leap in their own artistic work, regardless of whether they painted abstractly, representationally or realistically.

So I try to open up ways to try something new. Some will discover themselves in a completely new way.

The course is suitable for beginners and advanced students.
