Summer School of sculpting, drawing and painting

Art & Recreation

Food & Drink

Tuscany is not only famous for its art and culture but also for its excellent cuisine and good wines. And at the Campo we like to enjoy life's pleasures like eating and drinking together.

During the course you can join us for a very good and inexpensive Italian "pranzo di lavoro" in the local restaurant with its beautiful terrace. Lunch together is also a great opportunity for painters, sculptors and other guests to meet, exchange ideas and get to know each other.

If you wish to cook yourself, there is a local food store, the Alimentari, where you can buy typical products from the region, especially excellent cheese and sausage as well as fresh vegetables, pasta and bread.

Cold drinks, tea, coffee, cappuccino or espresso are available at all times at the Campo. Our legendary house wines – white: "Vernaccia di San Gemingnano" and red: "Rosso di Montepulciano" – are offered at the end of the day’s work.

The Ristorante Michelangelo

Every course at the Campo begins with a shared meal at the Ristorante Michelangelo in Azzano. The owners Maestro Sandro and his wife Maria Emilia run the only restaurant in Azzano already in the second generation and offer a wide range of Tuscan and Italian meals.  There is also great pizza baked in the wood-fired oven. Sandro is also a sommelier and will be delighted to advise you about exclusive wines. You can drink your morning cappuccino here. Additionally, they have a bar, journals, sweets, cigarettes, cocktails and last but not least: gelati (ice-cream).

Other Restaurants

If you like to broaden your culinary horizon there are many possibilities in the near vicinity,  starting from simple trattorias up to gourmet restaurants.
